We love dogs. They're part of the family, and we want them to enjoy their vacation just as much as you do. A little extra care—like wiping muddy paws, cleaning up after them, and not leaving them unattended for long periods—helps us keep the home welcoming for every guest, both two-legged and four-legged.

    To ensure future guests (both with and without pets) enjoy the home just as much as you do, please observe the following:

    • 🐾 Maximum of 2 dogs per stay

    • 🛋 Please keep pets off all furniture and beds

    • 🐕 Do not leave pets unattended for extended periods.

    • 🦴 If your dog is wet or muddy, please dry them before coming inside.

    • 💩 Please clean up after your pet both at the home and while exploring the neighborhood.

    • 🚪 Keep pets leashed when outside unless in designated off-leash areas.

    One of Bellingham's most iconic parks, featuring beautiful waterfalls, scenic trails, and historic stone bridges.

    Dogs are welcome on leash throughout the park.

    🐕 Lake Padden Park ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    One of our favorite places to take a dog.

    Enjoy miles of lakeside walking trails, wooded paths, and designated off-leash trails where your pup can run and explore.

    ⚓ Sudden Valley Marina (Gate 1)

    Looking for somewhere close to the house?

    Head to Gate 1 at the Sudden Valley Marina, where you'll find a designated off-leash dog area that's perfect for letting your pup stretch their legs while enjoying beautiful views of Lake Whatcom.

    Please be respectful of other visitors and clean up after your pet.

    🚫 AM & PM Beaches

    Please note that dogs are not permitted at the AM or PM Beach areas.

    This is a Sudden Valley Community Association rule, and we appreciate your help in respecting it.

    If you're looking for a nearby place to exercise your dog, we recommend the Gate 1 Marina off-leash area instead.

    🥾 Oyster Dome

    If your dog enjoys hiking and is in good physical condition, Oyster Dome is an unforgettable adventure.

    Bring plenty of water for both of you, and keep your dog leashed to protect wildlife and respect other hikers.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bucket List Hike

    🌲 Arroyo Park

    A beautiful forested trail system just minutes away, offering shaded trails, creek crossings, and access to the Chuckanut trail network.

    A quieter option that's great for dogs and their humans alike.

    💚 Brown & Co Tip

    If we had a free morning with our Labs, we'd grab a coffee from Lettered Streets Coffeehouse, let them burn off some energy at the Gate 1 Marina off-leash area, then head to Lake Padden for a scenic walk before relaxing on the dog-friendly patio at Stemma West Brewery.

    Before checking out, please:

    • 🦴 Double-check for pet toys, leashes, bowls, and blankets.

    • 🐾 Pick up any waste from the yard.

    • 🧹 Vacuum or sweep excessive pet hair if needed.

    • 🚪 Make sure all gates are closed.

    • ❤️ Give your pup one last belly rub before heading home.
